Martin, Rich and crew,

Hope you had a good fourth of July weekend. Well expressed cartoon and again Martin you are well on point. I fear we all vote for flash and excitement. The real issues? They will get buried in the media campaign hoopla as we enter the big dollar campaigns. Bigger question is whether Adam Smith and our forefathers envisioned this in anyway.

Martin, no those are the characterizations of the issues. You know, where the contention really occurs.

I like it. I can see some light in the dungeon.

Nice drawing. The spirit of Red is certainly with us.

Martin? Are you there? Tonight's basketball trivia question.

It was good to see Bill Russell again. What famous restaurant did he purchase in Boston while he was playing for the Celtics?

PS - Bellichek and the boys ruined the hat trick for Boston.

Isn't it a custom for championship teams to be invited to the White House for a photo op? I can't wait to see Sam Cassell posing next to Bush/Mccain/Obama. Maybe he'll do his testicle impression.

My company does video news stories on great people with awesome attitudes -- they don't get much better than some of the Negro League players who broke barriers in baseball!

You can see a video we did at MLB's recent symbolic draft of Negro League players, which includes Millito Navarro, Peanut Johnson, Charley Pride and Bill Blair as well as Ken Griffey and Dave Winfield.

I hope you enjoy it!

Martin,

You speak the truth as always. Query this. Will illegal immigrants who are granted driver's licenses get the same tax credit incentive. Even if they don't file or pay income taxes.

Let's take this to its logical climax ... How about an annual income tax credit for all gas purchased during the tax year, up to one's adjusted gross income? ... We could do it ... it would just take a little more borrowing by Fed to balance the books. This would not only stimulate the economy, but it would also encourage people to get off the welfare rolls and to seek education and training so that they can simultaneously maximize both their income and their "free" gas allotment ... The candidate who embraces this proposal could use the motto, THE MORE YOU EARN, THE MORE YOU BURN ... You like that, don't you Rob?
